Inherited Love by Katie Mettner

When Katie said she was starting a new series I knew I had to read it. I love the way she creates memorable characters and interesting story lines that hook you right from the very first page. This book didn’t disappoint!

Inherited Love is the start of a new series about the Dalton siblings with the first book being about Cinnamon Mabel Dalton. The story opens with the funeral of Cinnamon’s mysterious grandmother Mabel Dalton. The family chose to have a private funeral because Mable wasn’t exactly a people person. In fact, Cinnamon was the only member of the family she actually spoke to on a regular basis. After the funeral Cinnamon finds out that Mabel has left her $100,000, her house and her 200 pound St. Bernard dog named Brutus. Cinnamon is very excited but nervous because she has never owned a pet. Luckily on one of her first nights owning Brutus she runs into the local vet from the humane society that her grandmother volunteered at. Foster and Cinnamon have an immediate connection but Cinnamon has a secret that she thinks will push Foster away.

Will Cinnamon be able to let her guard down and trust Foster with her heart or will her fears keep her from experiencing true love?

I give this book 5 stars! It was so well written and I can’t wait to read the next installment!
